Hailsham Town Football Club needs you!

As you are probably aware, I am on the Committee of Hailsham Town, who currently play in the Sussex County League Division One (Level 9 of the National League System - that's 8 divisions below the Premier League). This year, the club celebrates 125 years of existence.

We have been informed that as a result of enforcement of ground grading rules by the Football Association, the club will need to spend money on upgrading our facilities, including the provision of 100 Seats in a covered stand, hard standing around three sides of the pitch and other miscellaneous upgrades to the ground - as an example, the required stand will cost in the region of £20,000.

In order to do this, we are planning a grand summer event;

The Stringers Summer Spectacular - Sunday 25th July 2010, 12-6PM

This event will comprise;

  • 'The Beaconsfield Bonanza' - A Grand Raffle, featuring some very impressive prizes such as a Signed Manchester United shirt, a Signed Newcastle United Shirt, 2 Tickets to matches at Millwall and Port Vale next season, a Signed Heart of Midlothian shirt, Signed footballs from Middlesbrough and St Johnstone Football Clubs, Signed pennants from Peterborough United and Burton Albion FC, Complimentary tickets for several local Golf clubs, Meals at local resturants, Complimentary tickets for several local tourist attractions as well as many other prizes, including signed Books, Gift Vouchers and more
  • Football Match between Hailsham Town FC Supporters and the Lewes FC Supporters Club team
  • Side Shows, including a Cake Stall, Bouncy Castle and Tombola
  • The Club Bar and Refreshment Bar will also be open, with a Barbeque offering hot food.

It plans to be a fun day for all the family, and we will be advertising through local media (including Television), our website and also National Websites and Newspapers devoted to Non League Football, such as NonLeagueDaily.com and the Non League Paper, a weekly national newspaper dedicated to Non League Football.

How You Can Help

There are several ways in which you can help;

1; If you are local, Come to the event! - as above, there will be plenty of attractions - bring the missus and kids! - Directions available on the website

2; If you aren't local - Buy Raffle Tickets! - They are not on sale yet, I need to have them printed first, but when they are, I will let you know how you can purchase them.

3; Traders - Want Some Advertising? - As above, as part of this event we will be advertising extensively on a local and regional level, as well as in specialist national publications/websites. If you could donate prizes for our raffle, we will mention you in our press release and on our website.

4; Donate to our prize fund - If you have any prizes suitable for a raffle or tombola - for example football memorabilia, unopened bottles of wine/spirits, unopened boxes of biscuits/chocolates (with best before date after the event!), cuddly toys, scarves - get in touch

5; Buy A Seat - £25 will allow you to help us by buying a seat in the new stand - this will have your name on it, get you listed with thanks in our matchday programmes and on our website

For more details, contact me via PM or via email through the club website; http://www.pitchero.com/clubs/hailshamtownfc/

Thanks for reading - any help would be most appreciated, not just by me, but by all at the club - all are volunteers, and give our time, effort and indeed money to keep a valued local community asset alive and thriving.

Cheers,

Stu (d_s)
