RAF96
Just about to start running in my latest acquisition from Great Eastern Models in Norwich (GEM). Nice looking model, in green with speed whiskers, with good detail and at a great price from GEM. Lets see how it runs on DC before sticking a pair of decoders in it, pending some sound later. 37501
I have just fitted sound to an older blue and grey Class 108. It has two sugar cube speakers in parallel located in the passenger doorway. Sounds loud and clear. Also achieved close coupling by shortening a pair of Kadee couplings and gluing a piece of black felt in the gap between the gangways. Completed with a light weathering and passenger figures... I hope your sound installation goes well. Best wishes John
RAF96
‘Twas a bit tight getting a spare pair of Lenz Golds in there for now. Not keen on the interior lights being on with the destination boards and directional lighting all under F0, and interior lamps are so dim as to need almost total darkness to show they are on. Takes a lot of throttle on DCC to keep pace and top speed is realistic. Happy with it so far. Roll on some TTS DMUs.
