RMweb Gold sjp23480 Posted December 31, 2020 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 31, 2020 Came across this site today, it is excellent. A free site except for a voluntary donation. It has Victorian maps of the whole of the UK, unlike other old map sites I have come across which can be patchy. Zooming in reveals a high level of detail, including track plans and railway structures. It also has a useful slider to transition between old and new maps. Well worth a look: https://www.archiuk.com/archi/index_mobile.htm Stephen 2
RMweb Premium Kris Posted January 2, 2021 RMweb Premium Share Posted January 2, 2021 I could waste far too much time on that site. I must stay away!
burgundy
For those living in many parts of the West of England, Know Your Place offers a very useful facility for comparing maps of successive generations and also for tagging places of interest. Best wishes Eric
