As I'm planning on creating a number of trees for Bovey Tor. Thought we'd start with this fine specimen.

Looking good, both the shape and the colour.

Thanks, sometimes, no all the time, it looks quite different on screen. Hence me playing with lighting setups.

I always found it difficult to get good photos of my paintings.  Seemed to work best to take them outside and photograph in indirect natural light; but a bit difficult to do that with a layout!

I did exactly that with most of my paintings. But even that can be a pain especially if you've varnished it. The weave in the canvas can create a nasty moire effect.

Absolutely lovely little project: it just oozes the character of the location. I've really enjoyed reading (and learning) from your work.

Very much looking forward to future updates.

All the very best,

Nick.

Many thanks for taking the time to walk through the whole thread. Your remarks are very encouraging.

Cracking job of arboriculture.

You may have a wait to get that shed door fixed. The chippies are still wombling about with the loco shed door at Little Muddle

They're getting free tea there too.

Thanks but I'm thinking that shed is beyond repair and will just gradually merge into the landscape.

I do like a neglected and overgrown shed. This is one of my 1:1 scale sheds.
