Crosland
Earthing blocks are a LOT cheaper, e.g., https://www.screwfix.com/p/4-way-earth-block/12386

RMweb Gold ITG Posted January 31, 2021 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 31, 2021 I used these. Not as cheap as ordinary choc blocks but have the advantage that the screws do not pressure directly onto what might be thin cable strands, which have been known to break under that pressure. With these, there are small plates which hold the cable. Also, the coloured link connectors are very useful.

Ron Ron Ron
There are a few products already available that take choc-blok type connectors to a different level, with ready made solutions for particular applications. Here's another one, that can be used to split a track supply (DC or DCC), or any other supply. It provides switching for each individual output, so you can isolate sections for fault finding, or if carrying out maintenance work. There are different sizes and varieties of switch (DPDT, ON-OFF-ON etc, etc)..... https://www.rkeducation.co.uk/electronics-for-model-railways-112-c.asp Non-switched varieties are also available.... .
