Steadfast
Hi all At the weekend I bought the Dapol twinset of 73s in GBRf livery. Now I'd been warned that they weren't exactly heavy haulers, but to struggle on 6 OBAs! Comparing it to my early 73s, it seems when the DCC re-tool happened, the moulding used is very similar to the old metal block, albeit with two changes - a cut out for DCC, and 100% plastic with the resulting weight loss. So, with the revised chassis, is there any room to add some lead to the tank area, as I know on the metal chassis versions the motor was rather large, and filled the tanks. It's a lovely runner and a very free rolling dummy, its just got no grunt, so any help to add some lead would be gratefully appreciated! cheers jo
