Triang Pullman car info required

I have quite a few early Triang Pullman cars however, they are much smaller than later Hornby cars.  Are they based on actual cars or just smaller non-scale representations???

They are based on the Southern Electric style of Pullman trailers (5-BEL/6-PUL) in overall outline, but are very foreshortened. Two giveaways are the oval windows in the ends and the slight angling in above the waistline. Traditional loco-hauled Pullmans had flat sides.
