LIma class 42 Ultrascale Wheels

Is this a simple swap or are particular tools needed.. I can strip and service a Lima motor - I dont think I have ever tried removing the actual wheelset  from the axles before though.. Other than a back to back tool is anything else needed.

Yes you need a back to back. Thats the easy part you will need to fit new pick up's. As you carn't use the old Lima one's.  The Ultrascale wheels don't allow you

I think the current sets are set up to pick-up from the axles, just like the originals. But I agree, you will need a back-to-back gauge.

The Ultrascale wheels are isolated on both wheels.  Plastic inserts . Got 4 sets 2 years ago .  So you will need to add new pick up's and rewire to the motor.
