SouthernBlue80s
I want to use some existing code 100 track I have for my fiddle yard and join it to code 75 bullhead for the part of the layout that will be seen. Can someone one give me any tips. Do I use code 75 rail joiners and file down the bottom of the code 100 to fit. Any advice appreciated.
MR Chuffer
Try these? I do, you get 4 in a pack. It is FB to FB but gives you a chance to make it work at not much cost. Edited August 7, 2021 by MR Chuffer
RMweb Premium BR60103 Posted August 8, 2021 RMweb Premium Share Posted August 8, 2021 I put a code 100 joiner on the code 100 and then squash half of it with pliers. Then I solder the smaller rail to the top of the squashed bit. It often happens that it's at the right height. Just make sure the inside top edges line up. If you are gentle with the iron, you may be able to pull the joiner off the code 100, should it become necessary. 1
