Dcc05 Prodigy Wi-Fi stopped working

Hi guys,

I’ve successfully been using the Wi-Fi box for a few years as a means of using my iPhone as a controller on my Prodigy system.

 

Using the JMRI controller app, it gives me extended walk round ability as well as easier access to F values beyond F9 which is essential for sound locos.

 

Its stopped working - any suggestions? A few days ago I emailed Gaugemaster and am still waiting for a reply. I live in Spain, so it’s not a simple case of sending it to Gaugemaster and it’ll arrive back in a week…. It’ll be more like a month with the post at the moment!

 

The Red light is still on, but the unit is not sending out the Wi-Fi code to tether my phone to.

 

I have tried leaving it unplugged; I have changed the port on the Prodigy base unit. Any other suggestions?

Do you mean that the Prodigy WiFi isn’t showing up on the iPhone’s list of available connections?

Yes it’s not showing at all.

 

I use an old iPhone 4 just for this use…. So checked my everyday phone and that also doesn’t show a Wi-Fi signal.

The unit is now winging its way back to Ford for the Gaugemaster tech guys to look at.
