Rhostryfan station

Hello,

 

I am looking to model a small layout with Rhostryfan station in 009

I have got a small board and a gaugemaster shuttle unit to power the train continuously up and down through the station/scenic section.

I have currently got a fourdees Beddgelert , a ashbury summer coach and will be getting soon some slate wagons which will be mostly what will be used with Beddgelert as the train goes back and forth.

Period will be around 1897-1906.

However, i could do with knowing a few things before i get started.

 

1) What was the track like at that period, should i go for 'mainline' or 'worn/crazy'?

 

2) What was the station like roughly, was it similar to any other designs of stations on the NWNGR?

 

3) What was the rough layout of everything and a general track plan?
