How many Intercity 125/Class 43s were in Swallow livery?

 

Anyone know the answer or where I can find out the answer?

I’d guess all of them. 

Unless one or two missed out if they were long term out of traffic from accident damage.

Hi the Ian Allen combined volumes of the era had livery codes for stock.  Often these can be picked up cheaply from preserved railways or ebay as a source.  

IIRC all got swallow livery my memory ( oft wrong) is trying to tell me one PC missed out on Exec livery and went Blue grey to Swallow  on the Western region but I cannot recall the number - a 1 in 198 chance of being right!!

Not sure about the Western Region but certainly 43090 and 43102 on the Eastern went straight from blue and grey to Swallow.

I too think that all the power cars got Swallow livery but I don't model the '90s and it's a long time back to try and remember.

I thought they all got "Swallow" livery. That, and the original blue grey, were the two liveries that every power car once carried.

According to P5 15 were still in ICE at the start of 92, all were ICS at the start of 93.
