This is what it says on the Activity Media site, so it must be right ;)

Right Track 12 - "Wiring Your Layout" features Ian Morton and Chris Langdon and is due for release at the end of August.

Ian Morton has written several of books for railway modellers and contributes regularly to the Hornby magazine. He has an excellent knowledge of electrics and the ability to describe them in an easy-to-follow way as he wires up a layout on camera. After describing the basics of controllers, wire, track and how they fit together the DVD works through soldering, making electrical sections, building a control panel, cab control with two controllers, cables, plugs, wiring solenoid point motors and even a reverse loop. Programme section titles include:

Soldering to the Track

Planning the Layout

The Control Panel

Building and Testing

Point Motors

Reversing Loop

Connecting for DCC

For those who want to understand the technicalities, there are also sections on:

What is Electricity?

Amps, Volts and Ohms

DC and AC Explained

Switches

and Fault Finding

This DVD is filmed in 16:9 widescreen, runs for 2 hours 30 minutes and will cost £19.99 in the UK and £22.49 outside the UK

Just a bump to say that the DVD is due out at the end of the month - and there is a clip of the best (OK, least worst ) bits...

Good News !! :)

The Right Track 12 discs have come back early from the factory and we now have them in stock. We have supplied all those who pre-ordered on our web site and can offer our usual "same day" despatch service to all orders from Monday ( the 16th August).

There is also an offer on the web site where you can buy Ian's book on Railway Electrics together with the DVD. We are expecting the books to arrive next week and will send the books and DVDs out as soon as they arrive.
