Ian Morton has written several of books for railway modellers and contributes regularly to the Hornby magazine. He has an excellent knowledge of electrics and the ability to describe them in an easy-to-follow way as he wires up a layout on camera. After describing the basics of controllers, wire, track and how they fit together the DVD works through soldering, making electrical sections, building a control panel, cab control with two controllers, cables, plugs, wiring solenoid point motors and even a reverse loop. Programme section titles include: Soldering to the Track Planning the Layout The Control Panel Building and Testing Point Motors Reversing Loop Connecting for DCC For those who want to understand the technicalities, there are also sections on: What is Electricity? We have supplied all those who pre-ordered on our web site and can offer our usual "same day" despatch service to all orders from Monday ( the 16th August). There is also an offer on the web site where you can buy Ian's book on Railway Electrics together with the DVD.
