RMweb Gold Adam1701D Posted January 7, 2022 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 7, 2022 Great news - the 86 is one of Dapol's finest in N . Be nice to have another Swallow version.
RMweb Gold AndrueC Posted January 7, 2022 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 7, 2022 (edited) Boo! (only kidding). I'm still waiting for the next run of their Super Voyager. Even if they don't choose to improve on it, I've been holding a siding spare for it for months now. Edited January 7, 2022 by AndrueC
RMweb Premium njee20 Posted January 7, 2022 RMweb Premium Share Posted January 7, 2022 Surprised at the rerun of EWS, given it languished in sale bins for ages last time, and there are a load of liveries they’ve not done. I’d have re-run Virgin, or done a new livery. Still, good to see.

I think the biggest problem with it is that the livery looks much nicer in real life than in the brochure photos. It's one of my favourite locos now, but I didn't expect it to look so good on the layout when I brought it. I will be happy to have a second EWS and second intercity swallow loco on the layout. In my opinion it's one of Dapol's best models. All the best, Dave
RMweb Premium njee20 Posted January 8, 2022 RMweb Premium Share Posted January 8, 2022 I hadn't noticed until I went looking this week that the windscreen surrounds on the original Swallow release were yellow, not Falcon grey - I see you've fixed that! It is a great model, particularly with the Stone Faiveley pantograph - the original sprung one was a bit crude, and the BWHS is just woeful! I think it helps it's a very 'busy' model - there's so much going on on the underframe and bogies, they have a real weight to them; a bit like the 56 in that respect. I'm pleased Dapol are pushing another bunch either way!
