125_driver
Would a Lima bodyshell fit easily onto a Hornby TTS class 37 chassis (the same way it is fairly simple with a Lima 47?) .many thanks.
great central
Probably, is the best I can come up with, due to there being many examples at swapmeets when the TTS 37 was first released. The Lima bodied ones were accompanied by lots of Hornby yellow 37 bodies on Lima chassis!
Hroth
Yes, I've rebodied my three TTS banana yellow 37s (bought when they first came out and therefore well discounted) with BR green Lima bodies. I did the same with the TTS Class 47, swapping the BR large logo for two tone BR green. Then there was the GWR railcar swapfest. When Hornby reissued it in GWR livery, I picked up Lima examples with BR speedwhisker green and blood'n'custard liveries, a quick and easy swap. The only problem is that you end up with locos in a livery you don't want, on antique chassis, which were the reason you got the Hornby ones in the first place....
