Pretty much everyone eventually gets to the point where they’ve had enough of their job/career, and either want a change or a rest, or a bit of both.

Personal experience suggests that secondhand booksellers only stop at bankruptcy or death. Neither of which have yet occurred in these parts.

Long May that continue. My experience is that the best and most knowledgable book sellers are well beyond the first flush of youth, and have a comfy armchair in their shop for use in quiet moments, thereby achieving a bit f rest, if not change.
