JZ
Mostly Southern Region, but the odd foreign one might pop up. All from the very late 1940's, early 50s. I have hundreds of negatives to trawl through, so as and when I find railway ones, I'll post them. First up, 35004 Cunard White Star at Salisbury and Yeovil Junction.
Jack P
Fantastic, that first image looks like the wheels are just starting to slip! 1

They do, but probably a trick of the light, as the one at Yeovil Junction was the next picture. Unless of course, Dad was quick getting back on the train. RMweb Gold phil_sutters Posted March 9, 2022 RMweb Gold Share Posted March 9, 2022 It may just be that the wheels move that bit faster than the camera's speed can cope with.

I think JZ’s point was that his Dad took pictures of the same engine at Salisbury and Yeovil Junction. If the one at Salisbury does show the engine slipping on starting, he would have had to get back onto the train at Salisbury after it had started moving: 1 hour ago, JZ said: They do, but probably a trick of the light, as the one at Yeovil Junction was the next picture.
