Northern Rail 153317 departing, with in the background 158901, still wearing its West Yorkshire Transport Executive 'Metro' branded livery, arriving...

All character there disappeared when the semaphores went....

Very true, I stand on the platform and remember the station as it used to be in the late steam/early diesel days and apart from the disused signal cabins and the remains of the station building it is unrecognisable, the semaphores were the last remnant.

What liveries is it carrying?

The livery on the top half of the bodyside, that originally covered the whole of the bodyside, is Regional Railways Express livery.

The bottom half is a First TransPennine Express vinyl which was applied to units that that franchise acquired at the start of the Trans Pennine franchise.

The same vinyls were applied to former Arriva's 'Northern Spirit' branded class 158s when they were also incorporated into the First TransPennine Express fleet, as seen on 158743 also at Barnetby, on 19th July 2004....

and at the same location, on a very dull day, on 15th May 2006.

Except that Halfords must have run out of Warning Panel Yellow, as most of those TPE 158s were a hotch potch of different shades.....

Is that at Metheringham? I remember a piece somewhere about, I think, a class 60 rescuing a Dog box using the adaptor coupling they all carried at one time.

Talk about power overkill.

It was, 60052 was the loco, and they were about to send the loco to Lincoln to run round the West Holmes triangle due to problems removing the pin from the screw coupling at one end to attach the adaptor coupling....

Would have loved Bachmann to have made a few more liveries avalible id have liked the mk1 in centro. The GMPTE 150 was my 3rd 150, the new tooled 158 would be my 7th 158 as the new tooled model is by far superior to the old ones however the new tooling is  by far superior.

Went to York on 03/12/22 to see three Railtours but missed one (the outbound Midland Pullman) due to a blunder at Seamer station: I accidentally got on a Northern service to York instead of a TPX one. I alighted at Filey to catch another train back to Scarborough and then catch a later TPX train to York. Eventually, I made it to York arriving literally minutes before the Class 37 hauled RHTT was about to enter the station.

Anyway here's Class 155 155341 at Seamer with a service to Scarborough.

Couldn't resist and one saltire 158 jumped into my shopping cart. Arrived Thursday, DC tested yesterday. Runs very smooth. Decoder on order...

Ok, back to the photos...,🙄

I'm afraid being scans, these aren't amazing, but hopefully give some indication.

A couple more from Crewe on 31st May 2003.

'Ginsters' liveried 158827.

A few 156s were repainted into 158-style livery. I though it looked quite smart in this. This one is 156422.
