My apologies if  this has been posted before, but I couldn't see it on an existing thread.

 

I happened across this video clip of a very impressive layout built over a period of 35 years by one private individual working on his own.  Some of it has been rescued by a local model railway club, having been in storage for some years since his death. and it clearly needs a lot more work to get it fully operational again.   I can't help wondering how they access tracks in the centre of the layout for maintenance or to deal with derailments.
