I was wondering if West Coast Railway’s four Class 57/3’s (57313 - 316) and the solitary 57601 are primarily used on WCRC premium trains, such as the Northern Belle?

I’ve yet to see 57315 working for West Coast, but the others when I see them, seem to be on just the Northern Belle

I wasn’t expecting to see 57 314 sitting in Bo’ness at the B&KR when I was there yesterday - she was parked * up to a 314 PEP (appropriately enough) that was vinyled up for hydrogen trials. No idea if she was anything to do with trials or just parked there. There was a WCRC 37 also in the yard (I think 716) - edit no it’s 516

*almost said buffered but then realised someone would point out PEPs don’t have buffers…..

Does the company still have 57001, 57005 & 57006?

All three are still listed as on WCRC's books.

57001 and 57006 are listed in the 'active' pool code AWCA, but are showing on TOPS currently as on exam or repair at depot.  Both are at Carnforth.

57005 is listed in the 'stored' pool code AWCX and is also currently at Carnforth.
