Engineers Drab Olive

BR 9210 revised January 1963 is the first use I know of for departmental stock (other than breakdown train vehicles) to be olive drab finish (both carriage stock design and freight stock). Strangely it then refers to the future-- lettering and marking to be in accordance with a revision of April 1963 and to use white lettering paint.

A very difficult colour. https://PaulBartlett.zenfolio.com/brwhale/e1dc7c22d

Thanks Paul,  I had no idea it was that early.  I model 68/69 and was wondering if I could get away with it which obviously I now know I can

My era too, great for any wagon colour with any colour of lettering, although the "proper" combinations were the more common.

As an aside, I see rtr wagons are starting to come out with the triangles, most promising.
