spackz
Good afternoon all, I'm struggling to find anyone who does finely etched or cut diamond style lattice girder bridge sides in oo gauge. eBay has a style cut in MDF which I may resort to but doesn't look refined enough. Any one know of anywhere who supplies them ready to be cut down (similar to vari girder)? Would it be worth speaking to yorkmodelmaking for a bespoke item? Many thanks
RMweb Gold teaky Posted April 29, 2022 RMweb Gold Share Posted April 29, 2022 Herculaneum Dock and Caledonian Basin both feature lattice bridge sides (RMweb image restoration permitting). If the thread text doesn't reveal their sources, perhaps you could try asking the builders? There are probably others but those two layouts came to mind straightaway.

RMweb Premium Siberian Snooper Posted April 30, 2022 RMweb Premium Share Posted April 30, 2022 At any other time I would have pointed you in the direction of Ron Heggs, master bridge builder in plastic strip, but without the pictures , the threads won't do his work justice. 2

Tempfix Rich Papper Posted May 1, 2022 Tempfix Share Posted May 1, 2022 Hello I had a similar urge a couple of years ago, inspired by one on my local preserved line near Broadway. I was a bit frustrated that most of the laser-cut ones available were a bit chunky so I made it myself out of strips of plasticard. Maybe not the most accurate thing in the world, but looks better than anything I could find on sale at the time and wasn't as difficult as I thought. Link to post below if it helps.
