darren01
Hi all Last year i brought a Hornby Q1 ,since i have had it the lubricator linkage has broken off twice while i was running the loco. As it is now out of guarantee and i do not want to send it back to Hornby again, anyone know where I can get one from? All the best Darren
Wayne Rite
Try East Kent Models in Kent. They have them or can get them. Cheers
RMweb Premium Colin Posted June 22, 2010 RMweb Premium Share Posted June 22, 2010 If the linkage has broken off at the top, it's possibly due to a design fault - the linkage is metal and the spigot it fits onto is plastic - it basically just wears away. Assuming that's the problem, it might be best to cut the remains of the spigot off flush, then drill a small hole and reattach the linkage using a track pin or similar. Another alternative - remember that some Q1s didn't have the linkage in the first place!
