TheSnapper
I’ve had a couple of Jamie Goodman Loksound v5 decoders - a 45xx and an 8F - where the sounds switches off when the loco stops. The sound switches back on when the locos restart. This is not right! Anyone else had this problem and found a solution? Tim

Nigelcliffe
Do you have either a LokProgrammer or a programming track setup connected to JMRI ? Then you could read in the CVs and look to see if something obvious was wrong (such as the sound-on function key being also set to "loco moving" at the same time). It is just about possible to do this without a computer device, but its a lot of tedious CV reading - potentially over a hundred, but with intelligent guesswork under a dozen.
