Bandicoot
There seems to be two schools of thought about the livery of R. O. D. locomotives and the colour of rolling stock. More specifically, WDLR wagons are portrayed as being either olive dun, or a middle to dark grey. Bachmann wagons are grey, but then they have also produced locos that are khaki. Any ideas on the “correct” shade of grey for painting these wagons, please? Thanks in advance.
HenrikLaurell
the khaki ones are for domestic US military installations. The gray are for the western front. many locos did not make it over there. Instead they were used in the states for military training, both during and after WW2.
