Plans are being finalised for the 14th Annual Mansfield Show

Layouts confirmed for the show are as follows:

 

Fourgig East - O Gauge - my humble offering

St Peter's Way - OO Gauge - Keith Morris

David's Dublo - OO Gauge - David Fudger

George's Layout - OO Gauge - kids layout, have a go for a small donation

Hope Road - N gauge - Ian Wigglesworth (Traction of this parish) 

Bygone Model Railways - Triang TT - Malcolm Hughes of the Mickleover club

Brookthorpe - N Gauge - Paul Butler

Oscarton - N Gauge - Robin Sharman

Oakmoor - OO Gauge - Andy Sollis

Sutton-in-Ashfield Town - OO Gauge - Elizabethan Model Railway Society - our main layout in the Lounge

Duncan's Mine - HO Scale - Steve Grantham (Steve1 of this parish)

Meden Vale - N Gauge - Derek Gelsthorpe

 

Plus demos from DEMU and the RCTS

DEMU will be with us again and the RCTS will have their usual display of railway history too!

Final meeting tonight to dot i's and cross t's

 

Coincidentally, Matt Jarvis of GMRC Fame will be with us this year doing a 3D printer demo. He will also have his scanner and a selection of props so visitors can have a mini-me produced for a small fee. 

 

This was planned before this week's Hornby a Model World, honest 🤣 

 

The demo will include a small section of track with 3D printed buildings etc to show what can now be done

 

EDIT: the "Demo" is his Indoor Garden Railway in G scale!

Another great show, and a big thanks to the chefs looking after us with the bacon and sausage sandwiches!!

 A shame the Hornby TT120 set let me down on Sunday but at least people could see it in the flesh!
