If only replacing/relaying track was this easy?

I remember them doing the upgrade of the line between Folkestone and London. During the removal and replacement of the track, they'd remove about a mile of one line. put down sand and geotextile, then replace the ballast and rails. There'd be 10 or so excavators removing old ballast, and dropping new. They worked in a fashion that suggested they had a  choreographer directing them, as at any given time   all the jibs were doing the same thing.

In all the possessions, they always seemed to hand back in time for the Monday morning peak; not bad when you consider the logistics involved, with 30 or so separate work trains.
