MarkC
A bonus show for me this time - I wasn't expecting to be home for this one. Looking forward to it.
MarkC
What a great selection of layouts were to be seen at the show today. Newcastle show is back in style. Well done to the organisers and exhibitors. From what I saw, footfall was steady, which is great news. Traders seemed to be busy too. Good to see various old friends too. RMweb Premium New Haven Neil Posted November 12, 2022 RMweb Premium Share Posted November 12, 2022 I. Am. So. jealous! I really miss shows, and 'home' (ish) town ones in particular. Would have been great to have met up, Mark.
RMweb Gold D9020 Nimbus Posted November 13, 2022 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 13, 2022 The layouts were as good a selection as ever, though there seemed to be less traders than pre-COVID. Still, a really good show—and I actually managed to acquire a Farish mark 2A second brake, which are pretty hard to find.
johndon
A good show, apart from the craic with friends, the two stand out layouts for me were Canada Street (always a favourite) and the tiny, but wonderfully atmospheric Hallbankgate. RMweb Gold D9020 Nimbus Posted November 14, 2022 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 14, 2022 The "accompanied under-16s get in free" offer seemed to be effective, on the Sunday at least—a greater proportion of young people there than I've seen at a show for some years.
