I've found that dusting it lightly over painted stonework helps to give it a more 'stony' finish, for want of a better description! I would guess that weathering powders are pretty much the same stuff. I use black to 'weather' coal wagons, though you have to be very sparing with it! Jim Thanks Jim, I've ordered a cheap pack of powder paint that had some white in it (the rest can go to the Scout Hall for the Beavers!), I've also ordered some white weathering powder and some chalk to have a play with.
