animotion
I am wondering why EM and P4 are not in the category or is it because most of the members are out of the box modellers.

There seems to be an assumption that most people using this site are modelling in 4mm (1:76.2 scale) unless they say otherwise, which is presumably why none of the 4mm variations are listed. The majority of EM and P4 modellers start with the same locomotives and rolling stock as those who model in 00. The principal difference is of course the track gauge, and that tends to be discussed under track, which can lead to wars about accuracy - 00-SF being a particularly hostile topic at times. I'm assuming the things that are specific to EM or P4 are probably more likely to be discussed in the EM Gauge Society forum or on the Scalefour forum rather than here, depending on one's affiliation to whatever 18mm + track gauge standard they choose.
