Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone has any experience of setting up a DCC Next from ArCoMoRa with a DR5000?  I have followed the manual of the DCC Next to the point that it request me to send address 1 to the DCC Next. There is no flashing light response from the unit.

Has any one had something like this before, and if so, how did you get around it?

Thanks

I haven't uploaded the sketch on to the unit yet, doesn't state to do that in the instructions, but that makes sense to do that. I have set up one of these units a long time ago, trying to remember how I did it.

I'll give this a try when I get home.

Hi,

I just had a chance to try this just there, unfortunately I'm still not getting any flashing lights etc when i send the command 1, or even programming an address in to the unit and trying that. I feel I'm missing something here.

Thanks

once you programmed your first address did you press E to come out of Config mode.

Have you tested the output in config mode to make sure all that is working.

When out of config mode you should be able to see the address in the Mardec software.

So, Update on this,

I went ahead and fully programmed the unit as suggested, fine, it can read the addresses for the points and switch them correctly, so I'm happy with that unit.

The second unit I needed to program, plugged in straight away and flashed as stated in the DCC Next manual,  eventually got this all programmed as well.

All in all, everything is working as it should, I'm just slightly confused regarding one unit flashing and the other, doesn't matter however, they are all programmed and working.

Thanks for all your help.
