New build exhibition layout 00 gauge (modern era)

Ive been asked to help build new 00 gauge dcc controlled exhibition layout with group newbys at our club house here on WIrral at Mersey side model railway society..

Not realy start from scrach this one,more of strip back of old layout,and rebuild with all my 40 years of modelling tips,techniques and skills..

few pictures so far below.

key parts wil be 

Main station and country station

loco stabling point

traction depot

nuclear flask  loading site

and large freight yard..

roundy round two track with high level.

with few scenic breaks..

first picture is depot im working on at the moment..

Most parts of this layout wil be fictional or ideas from tye guys in group who train spot ect..

each tuesday and friday evenings have been very hands on modelling or electronics ect..

Another job ive just finished with two of newbys showing them how to fit A4 plastic card between rails,scotching and cutting it to look like rough concrete then weathering..

using handful of favorite vallego acrylic colours..

This part of layout is coming down from high level..

ile post up plans and better layout pictures to show size of the build.

most modelling people seen this build over on fb groups as daily update this club layout build..

Roughly 5/6 hours from start to finish on depot concrete base,

A4 plastic sheets,

cutting gluing between trackbeds

cutting and scotching surface to rough finish..

then airbrushing base colour in (matt 64 light grey) humbrol paints..

then x8 colours from ww2 vallego acrylic range..
