saxokid Posted April 5, 2023 Share Posted April 5, 2023 (edited) Ive been asked to help build new 00 gauge dcc controlled exhibition layout with group newbys at our club house here on WIrral at Mersey side model railway society.. Not realy start from scrach this one,more of strip back of old layout,and rebuild with all my 40 years of modelling tips,techniques and skills.. few pictures so far below. key parts wil be Main station and country station loco stabling point traction depot nuclear flask loading site and large freight yard.. roundy round two track with high level. with few scenic breaks.. first picture is depot im working on at the moment.. saxokid Posted April 13, 2023 Author Share Posted April 13, 2023 Roughly 5/6 hours from start to finish on depot concrete base, A4 plastic sheets, cutting gluing between trackbeds cutting and scotching surface to rough finish.. then airbrushing base colour in (matt 64 light grey) humbrol paints.. then x8 colours from ww2 vallego acrylic range.. 2 Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
