RMweb Gold The Fatadder Posted April 23, 2023 RMweb Gold Share Posted April 23, 2023 I am currently trying to modify all of my locos so that they do not have tail lights lit when pulling a train, for the most part I have just been junking the original circuit boards and rewiring (though I would like to see if it’s possible to adapt the wiring on a 21pin Bachmann pcb.) However the biggest issue are the Hornby locos, particularly the Class 60s. Of course this is thanks to Hornby wiring everything the wrong way round on non sound locos! I have modified Hornby Hst lighting boards to fix this in the past but it’s not something I want to do again. Given I don’t really need the tail lights (I think I’m right in saying that for moves running around trains etc in sidings you wouldn’t be switching the lights on?). So my thinking is to just disconnect the negative wire from the tail lights so they can’t turn on. Does anyone know which of the 4 tabs on a non dcc sound 60’does the tail lights?
