Wickham Green too
IF ( and it's a fairly big IF ) SECR 0-4-0ST No.313 ( SR No. 225S ) was an F class, it had 2'10'' wheels and - scaling from a broadside shot in Russell - the wheelbase looks to be in the region of 5'9''. RMweb Premium magmouse Posted April 30, 2023 RMweb Premium Share Posted April 30, 2023 "locomotive Builders of Leeds: E B Wilson and Manning Wardle", by Mark Smithers, has a drawing of an F class. It shows a 4'9" wheelbase, and 2'9 3/4" wheels. This is a 1912 example, and the caption notes 'redesigned mainframes', so earlier examples may have been different. The book has several photos of F class MWs, including the Wantage Tramway no.7. Nick.

sir douglas
MW classes can be a bit vague as 2 locos in the same class can have different dimensions
doilum
Was the F the subject of a loco building competition in MRJ some years ago

I had wondered if the Slaters 7mm MW F (pictures below) could be made into this - an Irish Hunslet of that era which had 3’2 drivers and a 5’8 wheelbase Edited April 30, 2023 by Irish Padre
