TT-Pete
Hello All, I have a quantity of Siemens dual coil latching relays that I want to use for switching input polarity on Peco point frogs; They are rated for 5v dc with coil sensitivity of 200m W, I suspect that the 12v dc output from the transformer will be too much for them (?) not knowing much about electronics, can anyone suggest how I can step the voltage down to 5v? Thanks, Peter.
cliff park
I reckon 150Ω, ½ Watt resistor would do it. If you have loads of the relays you could always wire 2 in series, I'm sure they would be ok on 6V, and you would have some spare contacts.....indicator lights on the control panel?
