Delta_Who
Hey folks, not entirely sure if this is the correct forum to post in. Currently in the middle of some EMU modelling, but I have 0 experience in motorisation and designing the bogies. Is there a "Go-To" standard or recommend book? My main concerns are - Fitting of a compact motor unit. Either directly into the bogie or via some sort of driveshaft. Wheels are pretty compact at 10mm/10.5mm - More importantly, how to design a bogie with appropriate swivel (both left/right and up/down). - How to best design the chassis to accomodate. RMweb Gold Fen End Pit Posted July 4, 2023 RMweb Gold Share Posted July 4, 2023 Take a look at the bogie power designed on the CLAG website http://www.clag.org.uk/index.html some interesting work by the likes of Ted Ted Scannell and Graham Hickson. While focused on P4 some of the ideas and suppliers of motors/gears might be applicable to other scales. David
