LSWR rail weight

I am just about to load my LSWR 40ton rail wagon with rails. They have been shipped across the Bristol Channel from South Wales to Highbridge Wharf for use by the S&DJR and LSWR. I don't want to overload the 40ton wagon. If the lengths were 45ft, how many can one wagon take; i.e. what was the weight per foot of the rails the LSWR were using in the 1920s?

Many thanks. So 45ft = 15(yards) x 96lbs = 1425 lbs which equals 0.65 tons per rail. So about 60 in 40tons. I do not think that I shall be overloading my wagon!
