RMweb Premium Blandford1969 Posted July 9, 2010 RMweb Premium Share Posted July 9, 2010 Hi all, I am doing some work in relation to the vacuum brakes as used on the GWR. My reference says that the 56xx and 66xx tanks were fitted with a small ejector for shunting purposes (basicly the same fitting as on the 15xx class). Does anyone know if they are still fitted on preserved examples? Thanks in advance Duncan

Wherry Lines
There are around 9 examples in various states of restoration. 5 of these are operational, so I would imagine at least some of them still retain such equipment (although it may be inoperative). It might be worth contacting the relevant parties to find out?
