DevilsAdvocate
Hi Folks I am clearing out some of my stock, some of which are Bachmann Class 37’s I have removed the DCC decoder out of them and put the analogue plug back into them but in 4 out of the 8 I have the light either won’t work at all, or only at one end. All other loco types I am off loading are fine, it’s just the 37’s Any ideas as to why this is happening anyone ? Cheers John
Bob83a
Are they all 8 pin models, if they are have you put the blanking plug in the right way around, try turning it 180 degrees. if it is the wrong way round then it will move but the lights would not work properly. DevilsAdvocate
No Bob, they are all 21 pin decoders
Bob83a
Are all the blanking plugs the original ones fitted to the loco when you purchased them. Bachmann have several different blanking plugs some which support lights and some that don’t. is it possible you have used a blanking plug that was originally fitted to a loco that did not have lights. do the blanking plugs you have used have part numbers on them. csvt2004
Are there brass contacts inside which touch onto brass pads? If you don't tighten the 8 body screws especially the ones near the cab, then that can stop the lights working. Worth just trying a few extra turns on those screws to make sure you have good contact.
