robbostrains
Hi,have a problem with the exit to fiddle yard on my latest little layout.Have used the Peco 00 gauge single track tunnel mouth, this has been altered to go flat against the back scene board.Do I just bring the backscene, Gauge masters country scene, round the back of the tunnel, obviously cutting round it.Or do I do a grasss effect behind it.The fact that it's right behind the tunnel is proving to be the problem.Don't want to mess the GM backscene up.Any one out there done a tunnel exit like this? Cheers Rob.
Dave777
A photo of the problem may help. I'm not sure if there is a right way of doing this - you've outlined the two alternatives, it's just a case of choosing really. If you're worried about the backscene, I'd apply some masking tape and newspaper to protect it while you do any scenery near it. Personally I suspect a tunnel mouth actually 'on' the flat backscene may look a little odd, but without actually seeing the situation it's tricky to offer any further thoughts or ideas.
