The ones that stick out for me are 1) Far North line during the first world war. Watching all that additional traffic with a load of visitors in a beautiful wilderness. 2) A friday night trip from Paddington down to Exeter for the summer saturday season in the 50's returning via Waterloo. 3) Ipswich depot during the later years of steam so I could watch my dad doing his job!
