GEM Gladstone

I have just gone on to the GEM website an noticed they have released the LB&SCR / SR Gladstone 0-4-2 loco. Is now on my wish list. I thought I would give them a plug as the owner Terry has provided a great postal service several times.

 

I recently brought the Precurser Tank loco from him. The first thing is that it comes in a very sturdy plastic box which will be a very good storake box for the loco. The castings are nice and crisp and will need very little cleaning. Instructions are very clear.

 

The chassis is a set of nice etchings and parts (work of art), and comes with very comprehensive instructions. So different from the early cast GEM chassis as as well as brake gear an ash pan is also included.

 

I have dealt with Terry a few times and he is very helpfull, a pleasure to deal with.

 

I think he is trying to re-relese a number of the kits which are out of production.
