45137 location question

I recently purchased this image with copyright:

45137_Undated_s.jpg

It shows Black 5 45137 with what looks like a 14E Bedford shedplate.

However, the location is a complete mystery.

There is an arch overbridge towards the rear of the train. There appears to be a station building (chimneys prominent) with ridge and furrow canopy. Also a left-hand point under the first vehicle.

The loco is not displaying any lamps.

Any suggestions, please?

No idea on location, but it was a Bedford locomotive in the late 1950s (Patricroft earlier) before going to Willesden late 1959/early 1960.

Better not let Tony Wright see the lack of lamps :D

Pure speculation on my part but how about Oakley Junction - Olney? The poles strike me as Midland Railway and there were all sorts of strange goings on with carriage storage along that line.

Another observation is whatever operated the points was behind the photographer.

Correction - building with two gables on the roof, not a canopy.

Higham Ferrers has been suggested to me as the location, and it seems to fit.

I think there was very little in the way of signalling at Higham Ferrers. I can't lay my hands on the sectional appendix but i'm sure it was no signalman key token and all connections were worked by ground frames released by the token.
