Chivers Finelines Hunslet WD 4-6-0T

Following a conversation on http://ngrm-online.com/, I have decided to reintroduce RC750 the Hunslet WD 4-6-0T. It will contain the whitemetal body the etchings, lost wax castings and bearings and screws etc. It is designed for 016.5 but I don’t think it would be difficult to convert to 014. The kit will require wheels, gears and motor. And will be priced between £120 and £150.

 

The timetable is as follows:

 

1 As soon as possible try out the moulds to ensure that we are getting satisfactory castings. If I can’t get decent castings it will be a big setback.

 

2 Order the brass castings and other parts.

 

3 Cast whitemetal and pack.

 

All this is common sense, but they all have their pitfalls.
