kiltedsignaller
I am at present working on the annual changes to the model of Insch railway station in the Insch Connection Museum (Aberdeenshire) in readiness for the next summer season. I have been trying to acquire a Hornby mk2d SO in Intercity livery and come up against a brick wall. I wonder if I could borrow such a vehicle from any member who would be willing to loan one to me, please? It would be a static display on the model, during the museum's opening between April and October. Thanks for all suggestions )
vac_basher
Didn't Replica Railways do Mk2D's too?
kiltedsignaller
Didn't Replica Railways do Mk2D's too? I believe you're correct. Wasn't it that tooling which Hornby seems to have inherited?
Pugsley
No, it was Dapol. IIRC, the Mainline tooling passed to Dapol, which subsequently passed to Hornby.

Thanks for clearing that up, Martin. Now, is there any kind soul out in the vastness of cyberspace who is in the position of being able to lend me one of these vehicles, please?
