Neil C
Posted on Twitter today: Probably stronger on atmosphere than detail, but some great shots.
steve1
Some interesting pics but their geography is a bit suspect in places. Kiev has never been in Moscow and was certainly in Ukraine in 1995, as indeed was I! Incidentally, image no 8 marked "London 1950" Anyone any idea where exactly? Loco looks Midland? steve
Rumblestripe
This is the shot mentioned by "steve1", entitled "London 1950". Interesting picture, I'm pretty sure that is an Ivatt N1 without condensing gear? The half splasher on the second coupled wheel is very distinctive. Which would make it one of only four built (or was the condensing gear removed later in the lives of other class members?) Which I guess makes the location KingsX? This looks like an empty carriage stock movement. I haven't the relevant Yeadon to look up details but it should be possible to identify the individual engine from the visible "73" of the running number. This shot for comparison - Withdrawn N1 at Bowling Junction 1957
