JonnyGT
Has anyone made a loco that has been to visit booths scrapyard. Reason I ask is a while ago I saw a Deltic (Meld) for sale on eBay that had its middle section cut out with gas axe effect. Looked great. Has anyone done something similar on here? cheers
alcazar
You think a Deltic looks great with the middle section cut out? Even for (S)Meld, that's sacrilege!
JonnyGT
Well it just looked different and really caught my eye. The Deltic is my favourite loco especially ours (Deltic 22). My be able to see one done at booths soon as DRS wont be rebuilding Gordon.

Etched Pixels
Has anyone made a loco that has been to visit booths scrapyard. Has anyone done something similar on here? cheers There is at least one layout with a scrapped Thomas Tank on it in pieces. I've done that sort of thing with spare cabs left over from converting locos simply because 'escaped' cabs seemed to be left all over big depots. Stephen Lacey (92245)
There was a chap on the old forum who had taken a Hornby pacer unit, and skilfully attacked it too look like it was in the breakers yard.....I'll look for the link and post it if I can find it! Cheers, Stephen
37114
I have the remnants of a class 40 shell left over from my Bachmann/Lima Hybrid which maybe of use to anybody creating a cut loco, willing to let it go for the cost of the postage. The problem is using an RTR or kit model is the sides etc tend to be thicker than the real one and lack the internal framing. For my burnt out brake van I have virtually built the superstructure from scratch, so you would probably need to do the same. Rewarding but time consuming.
