RMweb Gold DaveF Posted May 7, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted May 7, 2011 2 voltages at a crossing is not unknown in Switzerland, here is an example at Suhr where SBB (standard gauge 15kV AC) and WSB (Wynental und Suhrental) (metre gauge 750V DC) cross. Photos taken in July 1989. The WSB is, in Swiss terms a railway, despite running along roads! Arrangement of catenary 15kV AC goes from left to right of photo. Edited as I can't tell top to bottom from left to right! SBB BDe4/4 railcar crossing road in Suhr with metre gauge line of WSB on right hand side of road.
