jwealleans
I'm looking at starting to scratchbuild a pair of French Ferry vans as preserved in the NRM. There are a number of louvred panels in these and I was wondering about using a moulded part from another kit or vehicle. The panels are not unlike what's in the end of an LNER fruit van, for example, but there are quite a few more of them. Anything from Dapol, perhaps, or another cheapie plastic kit I can cannibalise? An alternative might be to look at what Archers have available. See http://www.archertransfers.com/WEB%20pictures/SurfaceDetailsPg4.pdf. They have a UK supplier http://www.historexagents.com although I couldn't vouch for them stocking the louvres. I've used their rivet details and am very satisfied.
