ahardy
Hi Guys, I hope this is the right place. I am looking into the possibility of building a critter to run on my layout. I fancy having a version with "rods" underneath. I don't ha the skills to scratch build a chassis for it, but I have wondered weather a Dapol/Hornby pug chassis could be adapted to fit? Has anyone tried, or thought about this? I have a chassis for a pug kicking around (although its missing motor etc) that I was going to use as a template for now, but I have yet to get hold of a knightwing kit. Could anyone who has built one measure theirs for length so I can compare them? Will post some update photos as I progress the loco Many thanks Andy

RMweb Gold Huw Griffiths Posted October 24, 2010 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 24, 2010 What's a critter ? A small loco - often diesel - and often based on no specific prototype. They seem to be very popular amongst American NG modellers, especially in On30 and similar scales.

In the context of RMweb have a look at this thread on the old site which shows a kritter being constructed and has a long discussion on them : http://rmweb.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=89&t=40956 Andy B)
